This hotel surpassed my expectations with its value for money. The prices were reasonable, and the attention to detail was impressive. The location was great, as it was close to the railway stations and metro stations, making it convenient for exploring the city. The fact that it was not far from the center and the lake was a bonus, as it perfectly suited us for the purposes of this trip.

All was well, no complaints.

The 2-night stay at Appartment Hôtel du Boulevard was a nightmare for us in Lausanne. The so-called hotel wasn't worth its name. The room we stayed in was on the top floor and tilted on 2 sides. There were 2 big sloping columns supporting the roof. The bath room was also tilted in such a way that you even had to squat down at the highest headroom of the tug to take a shower. You had to be very careful not to hit your head against the ceiling either in the tug or the room. There wasn't any window in the room except sky windows, but when you open them there was a lot of dust around the opening which might have accumulated for a long time. There wasn't any air conditioner or fan in the room and we were forced to open the sky windows for ventilation. It was lucky that there wasn't rain on the 2 days lest our luggage and bed might have been wetted. Our impression on Lausanne was spoiled by this overpriced, overrated and poorly managed hotel. In fact, the hotel was controlled by the unfriendly hotelier by remote control and there wasn’t any staff in the hotel after 4pm. I couldn’t even get a glass for brushing teeth.

Our room cost was € 90. We liked our stay...

The hotel was very clean and comfortable, with all the basic amenities we needed for our short stay. Its location was convenient, being just a few minutes' walk away from the main train station and close to plenty of restaurants. We found it to be in a pretty and calm part of the city center.

Not one thing.

The value for money at Residence Du Boulevard was excellent. Our room was comfortable and had a nice view, and we appreciated having a kitchenette. The location of the hotel was great, with easy access to the train station and metro. The staff, especially Maggie, were friendly and informative.

Hotel breakfast could have been improved with more seating options.

Though there was a leakage of the bathroom sink, it was fixed the next morning when the satff was alerted. It just meant that we could not use it the first day.

We were delighted to find a room which was tidy, clean and in reasonable condition. we liked the small breakfast bar and tea making facilities since it was snowing and hard to move about Lausanne.

The bathroom floor was quite flooded after two showers but this was not a big problem and we just mopped up with a towel.

This hotel is definitely value for money. It offers affordable prices for spacious two-room apartments with well-equipped kitchenettes, perfect for families or those who prefer separate sleeping areas. The attention to detail is remarkable, from the beautiful old furniture to the modern and clean bathrooms. The hotel's central location, just below the train station in the center of the city, is a major plus. You can easily explore Lausanne and the lakeside area.

I liked a lot that the payment in the hotel already included a ticket for the public transport in Lausanne, for the whole time of staying. I found this very convenient.

It is a bit odd, that the reception of the hotel is remote. I had no problems tough. But I'm not sure how quickly they would be able to solve a problem in case they were to be any.

There is no contact with anyone, very poor service. It makes it diffficult when we cannot speak swiss or german.

The staff is helpful and provides a smart phone with free internet, as well as a public transport card and city map for guests to use.

One aspect that could be improved is the lack of on-site reception. Communication with staff is only possible through a phone located near the main door, which could be inconvenient for some guests.

The accommodation was spotlessly clean and comfortable. There was room in the bathroom to move and the bedrooms were spacious and well lit.

Despite advertising internet connnection there was none available during my time there which was an inconvenience
